## Author notes / illustrative keys where applicable

1. A specific resource need establishes what the library should help a member accomplish. Compare that task with available material before interpreting low downloads as evidence of little demand.
2. Version discovery reveals whether members can identify suitable current material. Improve dates, labels and source references while verifying that the document itself remains appropriate for the intended task.
3. Unclear descriptions expose terminology that prevents members from recognizing relevant resources. Test a task-oriented summary rather than assuming a new category or extra documents will solve the problem.
4. Current task needs distinguish useful additions from broad requests for more content. Investigate existing coverage and prerequisites before commissioning material that repeats another resource's purpose.
5. Contribution barriers reveal whether members understand suitability, submission and review expectations. Explain the actual sharing process without encouraging uploads of private or unverified material.

Interpretation caution: Download counts alone do not establish usefulness.
